Ever visit Digg or Del.icio.us and wish you didn’t have to click through to get the skinny on the article? A click to the wrong article is wasted effort and I’d like to avoid that at all costs.
The difficulty is if you don’t read the articles you should be you might find your business or personal life going in the wrong direction. It’s that serious.
Politicians will distract you with nonsense either to shift you on to a subject they want to talk about or avoid one that makes them look like a dick.
This problem raises lots of questions for me:
Is there any magic out there I can use that let’s me know the article I am about to click through to is one I want to read?
How do I find new authors if I don’t try new articles?
Social networks make it easy for me to find like minded people approving documents but how does that broaden my horizons?
What percent of blog readers continually return to the same blogger for more than a month or more than a year?
Is that trend growing or are we all continually looking for the blogger that isn’t there?
In 1000 years time will people be reading what we are writing now and if so will they be looking for technical information, historical information or will our descendants be using it to pitch court battles over who really said or did what first?
Written on a day I found nothing of interest on Digg or Del.icio.us
